Version of 4 October 2026.
Preale Ltd (company number 13594079, registered in England and Wales) runs Praetor and is the controller of the personal data described here. To ask anything about it, or to use your rights, write to us through your Praetor contact.
Praetor shows professional buyers of commercial property who may decide its sale and how to reach them. To do so it uses information that public bodies publish, in a business capacity only:
We rely on legitimate interests: ours and our clients’ interest in approaching the people who can agree the sale of commercial property. We only use details published by public bodies or by the business itself, show each with its source, never guess or infer contact details, and never use the residential addresses Companies House keeps private. Letters drafted on Praetor to a person found on a register say where their details came from and how to object.
You can object at any time, and we will stop showing your details on Praetor unless we have a compelling reason not to. To object, write to us through your Praetor contact with your name and the company or notice concerned.
We use these to provide the service under our contract with you, to keep financial records as the law requires, and, in our legitimate interest, to keep the service secure and fair (for example to enforce reservations).
Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), GitHub (the scheduled jobs that read the public records), Revolut (payments), Stannp (printing and posting letters you send), Resend (service emails) and Anthropic (English summaries of Spanish auction announcements). Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement. Some process data outside the United Kingdom, for example in the European Economic Area or the United States; where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by the safeguards the law requires, such as the International Data Transfer Addendum.
Account information and your contact log are kept while your account is open and deleted within twelve months after it closes. Payment records are kept for six years, as tax law requires. Information from public records is refreshed from its source, and removed when the source removes it or when an objection is upheld.
Praetor sets only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. It uses no advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser may remember display choices, such as which menu groups you folded, on your own device.
You can ask for a copy of your personal data, and for it to be corrected, deleted, restricted or given to you in a portable form, and you can object to our use of it. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first; you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or, in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
